So this was pretty great. Mid-April I was in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and took half a day to drive up to the Crisp Point Lighthouse.
It being so early in the season the roads were still covered in downed trees from the winter snow. Luckily we had chainsaws and 4wd vehicles.
It was totally worth it, apart from the lighthouse caretaker we were the only ones there and I was able to grab some images without people or footprints on the sandy beaches.
10/10 would recommend the trip – but be warned it can be a little challenging to reach.
