The final step in the first business of photography challenge! Crafting a vision statement.
This should be easy, I got my vision checked in December and it was fine.
Envision your future state… What do you want this business to accomplish in the long term.
Well my personal goal would be to make a photography book someday. My bucket list item is to sell at least one print. But my long term goal for this site would be to create a collection of images that make a difference in the world. Whether that’s helping one person bring their vision to life through a portrait, telling someone’s story, bringing awareness to an issue that needs it, or just brightening someone’s day with a candid snapshot.
Kinda a lofty goal and a little vague. But let’s run with it.
Next step: Describe the impact. What difference do you want your business to make?
Well I think I inadvertently did that step when I defined my future state. So onward we go!
Next! Be inspirational! How can you make it motivational and something that people can get behind.
Well ideally I can help transform the way people see themselves or life in this area by crafting amazing imagery and maintaining a positive atmosphere.
So let’s refine that vision statement.
To create images that make a difference in the world by bringing people’s visions to life, telling people’s stories, and raising awareness of critical issues in order to transform the way people see themselves and life in general.
Still seems like too lofty a goal. But let’s give it a shot.
