(Expanding on that – I’ve found that social media really gives very little value for photography these days. It’s mostly people trying to sell things, the media format has largely transitioned to video, and IMO what’s on there presents an unhealthy and unrealistic representation of reality.)
I just joined a local camera club this week, and found more creativity and inspiration (and just a way more positive atmosphere) in the first meeting then I have in the last 4 years on social media. – So my suggestion: find a camera club. Find a positive environment to connect and collaborate with people that share your passions.
