First off I’d like to thank all the Firefighters at Shelby Township Fire Station #1 for allowing the Eastside Camera Club to photograph their station.

One of the best things about being in a camera club (apart from getting feedback on photos, the collaborative atmosphere, monthly goals, and general fun) is getting invited on group shoots to unique places.

This week, that place was Shelby Township Fire Station #1. The last time I was in a fire station was back when I was a kid on a field trip—before cell phones and their ever-present cameras. So when we had the chance to do a group shoot at the fire station, I was all over it!
