So I had such a great time at my last lighting workshop that I took another one! This was another Shawn Lee workshop, this one focused on more advanced lighting techniques. Between the different lighting setups and the number of looks our fantastic model Shannon had I was spoiled for choice on what to post for the final images. So I posted some of everything!

This workshop really reinforced the need to make sure you are measuring your lighting with a meter. Yeah you can do it by eye, but I got so much better results be metering.

What was also fantastic was that only three people showed up to this workshop! One of them barely shot either so it was mostly me, one other student, the instructor, and our model. So lots of time to learn and shoot and play!

I’m really glad I gave workshops a second chance. The first one I did was so awful that I nearly gave up on them. But having a good instructor and amazing model makes all the different and honestly I had such a fun time that I’m definitely signing up for another one!
