Noel – Studio Portraits on a Mamiya C33

Studio Portraits? Yes. Studio Portraits with a Mamiya C33? Hellz yes!

This was pretty cool, I had the opportunity to shoot using my medium format Mamiya C33 camera in a studio. I was still a bit new to the camera, only had one test roll though it prior to shooting this – which showed a few issues with the camera that I had to fix. Good news is that my fixes worked, and the setup I used for the flash worked (which was a cable trigger to a Godox Xpro-S).

I used Harman Phoenix II 200 and Ilford HP5 400 film for this and boy does that Harman film suck. It was supposed to be color film and it gave everything a greenish tinge that I had to remove in post (which is kinda annoying – post processing color film into to B&W). The Ilford was nice though, most of what you are seeing below was off that film. So I got a few more rolls of that and I’ll probably try some Kodak Portra next.

Hope you enjoy!
