Well I got myself a Mamiya C33. Kinda funny story about why I bought this, the studio I’ve been shooting at is going to have a film camera only night so, despite already having two 35mm cameras, I immediately started watching YouTube videos about old cameras and hitting up Reddit to see what people are shooting on medium format film. This led to me browsing eBay and picking out the camera I wanted. Then reason prevailed and I said, “No don’t buy that yet. Wait and think it over.” So I went to bed, then woke up at 4am hit buy and went back to sleep.

GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) is very real.

But I’m excited. It’s a TLR camera, which I’ve always found really cool. But it’s a TLR camera with interchangeable lenses, which is very uncommon. The lens I got with it is a 105mm f3.5 and depending on how much I like it then I’ll probably get others.

My wife got me a new GoPro for my birthday so I think what I’m going to do is try to make a video series while I try it out. So something to look forward to!
