Well I finally broke down and reinstalled Facebook. Hated to do it, but my camera club uses that (as well as their website) as the primary methods of communication. So I figured I should remake my account so that I can better keep up with their activities. I have a plan though! Rather then make a profile I made a page, and I’m not going to post all my photo’s on there. I want to keep that focused on a specific niche that I’ve been exploring – toy photography.
I thought about doing guns (cause I really enjoy shooting those – pun intended!) but from what I’ve read that will negatively impact your performance on their search algorithm (which is really annoying). I also want to try and do more portrait work, but maybe focus on costumes and cosplay – so maybe this toy/game photography becomes a springboard into that.
But the facebook page is linked on to my website so we will see how that goes. I’m not optimistic – social media is mostly toxic garbage these days (and it’s focus is mostly video, not so great for images). But here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/patrickreedphotos/
