A Detroit Photowalk

Had a chance to join a photo walk in downtown Detroit last weekend. For a long time, I never gave the city much thought. It just wasn’t on my radar. That started to change after spending time around Eastern Market – shooting the graffiti, paying closer attention.

Figured it was worth digging a little deeper.

There’s some real character here. Art deco buildings that still hold their ground. Street scenes that feel a little less predictable than most places. A city that’s taken its hits and kept moving anyway, just won’t seem to die.

Made it down to the riverwalk too. Didn’t do much for me, if I’m being honest.

But the rest of it? Enough there to come back for.
