As luck would have it, the special assignment for my camera club this month was long exposure—and at the open studio night, there was light painting!
It was a lot of fun, and I think it’s something I’ll try to do more of in the future. The key technique was using rear curtain sync, which allows the camera to capture the motion first, then fires the flash at the end of the exposure to freeze the model.
