Ok, let’s talk Cosplay. I don’t get to shoot this very much on it’s own, but I love going to Comic Con’s and that’s where I get most of my content for this section. Well, that and renaissance festivals. Eventually I would love to evolve this section into more of a cosplay portrait type of portfolio – similar to how I’ve approached my reenactment photography, where I try for it to be more immersive. With that though I have the benefit of the background fitting the subject matter, but with cosplay photography it’s a little more tricky given that I mostly take these at conventions – but on the bright side I get to meet a lot of cosplayers that way, and they are one of the best parts of any Comic Con.
